Kohima, April 18 (EMN): Kekhrie’s brace helped Medical XI defeat the defending champion MRH Sunrisers 5-2 at the ongoing Morning Premier League (MPL) Season 3, 2017 here at Kohima local ground on Tuesday morning.
During the match, Kekhrie of Medical XI scored two goals in the 37th and 48th minute. However Asat managed to level the score through a brace for MRH Sunrisers in the 42′ and 62′ minute to make it 2-2.
In the midst of the celebration, Theja chipped in with another goal for Medical XI in the 63rd minute. Medical XI went on to rampant Sunrisers through goals from Along and Neiphre in the 71′ and 73′ minute to finish the game 5-2.
Medical XI remained in 4th position of the Morning League table. Up next Medical XI will be facing MRH FC on April 24.
