MCCI appreciates police

Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has appreciated the ever vigilance of the Mokokchung Police in arresting two individuals allegedly involved in siphoning of domestic LPG fuel on December 14 who were now in their custody. MCCI president Tsukti Longkumer and the general secretary Limalenden Longkumer have sought proper investigation into the case as it is a matter of serious concern. MCCI has also sought to make public the identities of the culprits and their modus operandi and take stringent action against the culprits as deterrent for such perpetrators in the future. It stated that customers of LPG cylinders in Mokokchung have suspected foul play as the cylinders available in the market always weigh lighter than normal calibrated weight. It has suspected well-organised criminal syndicate in operation. Meanwhile, MCCI has appealed the customers and public to be vigilant and report at the nearest police station if they have any information or clue in that regard.
