Manipur Univ. VC appeal students’ to attend Indian Science Congress

Imphal, Feb.4 (EMN): Vice-Chancellor Prof Adya Prasad Pandey of Manipur University on Sunday called upon the students and parents in the state to attend the Indian Science Congress to be held at Manipur University from March 16-20 2018.
Stating that the upcoming Congress which are being organised for the first time in Manipur, will prove to be a historical event, Prof Prasad said that scientists from all over India and other foreign country including some Noble prize winners will also participate in the congress.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Pandey was speaking at a reception programme organised by National Youth Project (NYP) volunteers of Manipur in honour of Director Dr SN Subba Rao of NYP at Bal Vidya Mandir here at Palace compound in Imphal on Sunday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India has also been invited to inaugurate the Indian Science Congress, Prof Pandey added. Holding of such kind of conference shows that Manipur state is the peaceful state. Serious thinking and discussion on scientific topic can also be held during the event.
He also added that Gandhiyan Social worker and Director Dr SN Subba Rao of National Youth Project has successfully stabilised the Peace in else while in Chambal Valley of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, by his profound piece work along with Vinoba Bhave Ji.
In his speech during the reception Dr SN Subba Rao said that only peace can bring prosperity and we should believe in “Jai Jagat” (welfare of the world). Religion is not known by way of eating, style of clothes wearing etc but by means love and affection with each other, he added.
Earlier Dr Subba Rao was accorded a warm welcome by volunteers NYP, Bharat Jodo Yatra and other local dignitaries during the reception function which was attended by senior citizen leaders and other students’ leaders.
