Manipur Hockey gets ‘Best State Unit’ for 2017

Imphal, July 26 (EMN): Manipur Hockey (MH) has been recommended by a panel of members Hockey India as the “Best State Unit” for the year 2017.
The announcement was made during the 7th Hockey India (HI) Congress held at Hotel Rockland CR Park in New Delhi. The award will be presented in HI ceremony to be organised in the later part of this month. The award carries a trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs 1lakh.
Earlier Manipur Hockey had also been awarded the same title in 2012.
Meanwhile Manipur Hockey expressed happiness over the nomination of Thokchom Anuradha Devi as a coach of junior women national coaching camp which is underway at Sports Authority of India, Bangalore. The camp which started on July 9 will continue till August 26 this year. MH also wished Anuradha to share all possible effort to make a strong Team India in order to bring laurels to the country.
