Dimapur, Nov. 8 (EMN): An organisation called the Makromi United Kohima of Kidima village conducted its 9th session, besides a picnic too, on November 7 at the Nagi Park in Jotsoma in Kohima. An immunisation officer from the Health and Family Welfare department, Kekuse Rikha, was the ‘main speaker’ of the event.
A report from the DIPR informed that Rikha urged the members of the group to ‘come out from their comfort zones’ and support one another during good as well as bad times. The purpose of having an organisation is to look after the welfare of its people, the gathering was told, according to the DIPR.
Rikha was also stated to have appealed to the members to maintain unity and ‘integrity.’ He was quoted as having said that politics and religion should not be given any opportunity to disturb their unity. “These two are the root cause of division in our society”, the DIPR quoted him as having said.
A new team of office bearers of the group for the tenure 2018-2020 was also appointed during the event, the updates stated.
