Magnum Opus on October 24 and 25th at Urbaan Haat

Organised by Act Of Kindness, the Magnum Opus IV will be held at Urban Haat in Dimapur on October 24 and the 25th.

An update from the organisers issued on October 17 stated that this year’s Magnum Opus would be from a destination blog – Artsy Naga.

Artsy Naga is said to be a blog for all art lovers, creative heads and artist to explore their creativity. ‘It’s mission is to provide a platform to connect and bring together like minded people to contribute to our society by helping people understand and appreciate art especially amongst the Naga youths. It springs from a noble thought that there are many talented young Naga artist whose work needs to be discussed and valued. These fine arts are also an expression of an evolving and growing society which needs to be encouraged,’ the update informed.

The blog is said to be spearheaded by Tunavi Achumi, who completed his BA at VFX and animation from arena animation in Bangalore. The blog features the works of more than 100 artist covering different subject and art interest in his blog. It has developed a highly engaging audience and has a plan to expand the network beyond blog post. The blog continues to thrive in the belief that these many talented and promising artist from Nagaland needs to be features and promoted across the globe.

More than 20 artists are said to participate and showcase their works at Magnum Opus.

Some of the few collaborating artist of Artsy Naga are Ajung Jamir, Inoto Achumi, Viphre Sorhei, Mannyei Phone, Masakala Tzudir, Kawoto Achumi, One.

Along-with showcasing the various art works, floor talks, art demonstration and art competitions are also said to take place during the two days event. Prizes worth INR 10,000 to two artists  and consolation prizes of INR 5000 to three artists are said to be awarded.
