M-Table ‘Out of the box-2’ on July 1

Musician Table also dubbed as ‘M-Table’ a 12 member team involved in music is all geared up to organise its second edition of ‘Out of the box’ a workshop for musicians on July 1 at AIDA Building Don Bosco Dimapur.
Informing this one of its kind workshop to media persons on Monday at a press conference held at Hotel Grand Tizu Dimapur, the team members said that after the success of its first edition, the workshop is targeted at music enthusiasts who want to make a career out of music.
The ‘Out of the box’ workshop will impart the ABC of how to make a living out of music with an intensive course on music marketing, professionalism and the importance of music education.
A host of music professionals have been roped in for the one day workshop that includes- Assistant Manager content acquisition and label artist relations, business development of Artist Aloud- Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Private Ltd, Musician, Inventor of Bamhum and Abiogenesis member Moa Subong, Folk artiste Tetseo Sisters, Singer/Song writer/composer Alobo Naga, Bass Player of renowned Bollywood musician Pritam and former member of Agnee Among Jamir and Music lecturer of Margaret Shishak School of Music (MSSM) James Swu.
M-Table committed to help the growth of music industry in the state said the resource persons will be addressing problems and solutions involved with music. Asserting that Naga musicians do not sell music in the state no matter how talented an artiste is, the team conveyed the workshop is a good opportunity for youngsters to build relationship and find means through music.
Providing an opportune through this workshop by roping in Hungama, celebrated musician Alobo Naga maintained that Hungama will be offering discounts and packages for the participants which will be announced on the workshop day. “With Hungama looking for fresh talents and Naga music enthusiasts looking for platform, the workshop will be a win-win situation for both the part”, conveyed Naga.
With the sole purpose to give back to the society, the resource persons are said to have cancelled their shows to be part of this workshop, avowed M-Table. With a registration fee of Rs. 200, the team have invited musicians/music enthusiasts to be a part of this one time workshop.
M-Table members are Yanren Kikon, Alobo Naga, Yanger Yaden, Abalü Kikon, Yanpo Humtsoe, Imli Lee, Abel Assumi, Sholo Thong, Lenti Aier, Onen Nenty, Abigail Odyuo and Seyie Keretsü.

Prominent Naga musician Methaneilie Jutakhrie will grace the workshop as the special guest and Minister for RD and REPA, C. L. John as the chief guest. The musicians’ workshop “Out of the box-2” is supported by Grand Tizu, Artist Aloud Hungama, RBG Printing press and Eclectic Northeast magazine.
