Kohima, Oct. 16 (EMN): The 33rd meet of Losami Youth Sports Association (LYSA) got underway at Losami local ground on Tuesday.
Z.Nyusietho Nyuthe, retired Addl Secretary and ex-candidate 20 AC Meluri attended the occasion as the special guest.
Nyuthe in his speech encouraged the youth to be sincere, honest, punctual and truthful.
He further advised the players to have a zeal for sports with great enthusiasm since sports industry becomes fast growing and has a big employment avenue.
He also maintained that youth must be cautious of their health and abstain from taking any intoxicants.
Hikewe Swuro administered oath to the participants. Altogether, 278 youths enrolled for the five-day tournament.
Meanwhile, the Village Council Losami acknowledged Wemhiechie Akami, who will playing in the Subroto Cup in New Delhi.
