Postal ballot issued for polling personnel in Kohima
Polling personnel, who have been drafted for Lok Sabha election duty under Kohima district, can collect Form-12/ postal ballot for 26 Aonglenden assembly constituency from Election Duty Certificate (EDC) Cell at the deputy commissioner’s office in Kohima during the office hours. The nodal officer for EDC and postal ballot, Kohima has informed that the last date of submission of Form-12 is March 31.

DC Zunheboto informs on postal ballot
Deputy Commissioner and DEO Zunheboto, Shanavas C, IAS, has informed that all the polling and security personnel on election duty under Zunheboto district can get postal ballot application form for the ensuing by-election to 26 Aonglenden AC from the EDC/Postal Ballot Cell at the office of Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Zunheboto. The last date of acceptance of postal ballot application form is March 31. Duly filled Form 12 should be submitted to the EDC/Postal Ballot Cell along with a copy of election duty order and a photocopy of EPIC/ service ID card with photo, informed DPRO Zunheboto. It added that electoral roll details can be obtained from www.nvsp.in and www.ceonagaland.nic.in.

EAC Wokha issues postal ballot form
EAC & nodal officer EDC, ETPBS & postal ballot, Wokha, Riku Khutso has issued a notice informing all the public servants under Wokha district to collect application form for postal ballot form/Form 12 for the ensuing by-election to 26 Aonglenden AC from the Facilitation Centre EDC/ETPBS/Postal Ballot, office of Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Wokha. The last date for acceptance of postal ballot application is March 31. A copy of election duty order, EPIC or photocopy of e-roll and service identity card with photo should be produced to get the form.

Nodal officer Peren notifies on Form 12A
SDO (Civil) & nodal officer for election duty certificate, Peren, Vejoyo Swuro has informed all the polling personnel under 6-Tening and 7-Peren A/C on Lok Sabha election duty to apply for their application for Election Duty Certificate in form 12A along with the appointment order at EDC cell, old building DC Office, Peren during office hours. Form 12A can be submitted at EDC cell, old building DC Office, Peren during office hours on or before March 30, informed Shahlong Phom, IA Peren.

Drivers for duty in Peren asked to apply for EDC
The drivers requisitioned for election duty in connection with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections under 6- Tening and 7- Peren assembly segments have been directed to apply for election duty certificate in Form 12 (A) along with requisition and duty detailment order to the nodal officer by March 30 at EDC Cell, old building DC office Peren during office hours.

EVM/VVPATs demonstration at Peren
The second day for presiding/1st & 2nd polling officers along with 3rd polling officers organised demonstration of EVM /VVPATs for Lok Sabha election at Town Hall, GMS and All Saints Higher Secondary School, Peren on March 26, said an update received here on Tuesday. It added that master trainer Albert highlighted on the role and functions for the polling process besides instructing the officials to begin mock polls.

Medical Board conducts verification
The district-level Medical Board, Tuensang led by CMO Dr. Pangjung conducted personal verification for exemption of election duties on medical ground at the chief medical office on March 25. The first phase of medical exemption was conducted for the presiding officers and first polling officers.

CMO Peren calls for health verification
CMO-cum-Medical Board chairman, Peren has informed all the government employees under Peren district, who have applied for exemption of polling/election duties in the upcoming Lok Sabha election on medical ground, that verification will be done at CHC Jalukie on March 28 at 10 am. So, those seeking for exemption from election duty on medical ground have been asked to be physically present before the Medical Board on the day.

Randomisation of EVM/VVPAT at Tuensang, Phek
DC & DEO of Phek, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS, has informed that the second randomisation of EVMs/VVPATs under Phek district will be done at DC office on March 29 at 10 am. So, all the political party presidents have been asked to be present.

Meanwhile, the first randomisation of EVM/VVPAT under Tuensang district was conducted at the DC’s Conference Hall in the presence of all political parties on March 25. V.K. Disong, Sr. Manager NSCB Ltd Tuensang and TokihoAchumi ACTO (Agronomy) were present as a micro observer during the process.

Election training schedule for Pughoboto out

ADC & DEO Pughoboto K. Mhathung Tsanglao has informed all the government employees drafted for election duty as polling personnel under 13 Pughoboto assembly segment to attend election trainings on March 29 (Second Phase) and April 9 (Third Phase) without fail. Failure to attend the trainings will invite strict disciplinary proceeding as per the law.

Tsanglao has also directed the employees to bring one passport size photograph for identity card. The statement said that poll star trail run for presiding and polling officers will be conducted on March 29, while notice for Grade IV staff will be issues separately. Presiding and 1st polling officers (male), presiding and 1st polling officers (female), and 2nd and 3rd polling officers (both male and female) will be held at 10 am at three venue – DB court, ADC Office, VDB Conference Hall and Town Hall respectively, informed a press release issued by APRO Pughoboto.

DC Mon releases training schedule for election officials
Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS has released training plan and Lok Sabha election schedule for all the sector officers, presiding officers and polling officers under Mon district, and here are details:

  • Sector Officers 2nd and 3rd round of hands on training of EVM and VVPAT will be held on March 30 and April 8 respectively at DC Office Conference Hall at 11:30 am.
  • Presiding officers and 1st polling officers 2nd round of training will be held on March 28 at GHSS, Mon, and 3rd round will be held at Town Council Hall on April 6 and 8th 10:30 am.
  • 2nd and 3rd polling officers 2nd round of training will be held on March 29 at GHSS, Mon and 3rd round will be held at Town Council Hall on April 6 and 8th at 10:30 am.
  • Presiding officers, sector officers and 1st polling officers’ hands-on experience prior to poll training will be held from March 25 to April 10 at DRDA Hall at 10:30 am.
  • Micro observer training will be held on March 27 at DC Office Conference Hall at 11:30 am. Webcasting personnel’s 1st round of training will be held on March 27 at 2 pm and 2nd round will be held on April 5 at 11:30 am at DC Office Conference Hall.

The DC has also informed all the voters of 26 Aonglenden AC who are deployed for Lok Sabha Election duty in Mon district to collect and submit Form-12 (Postal Ballot) by March 31 from EDC Cell, 1st Floor, DC Office Mon. Applicants must ensure that name/part No. tallies with the electoral roll are entered or else forms will be rejected, he added.
