Dimapur, Oct. 23 (EMN): In the first match of day 14 of the 25th Edition of Loyem Memorial Senior Soccer Open Championship, DEF Tuensang and Settle FC played a 1-1 draw.
Peshi (jersey no.17) of settle FC scored the very first goal in the 3rd minute. Monthong (jersey no. 12) of DEF Tuensang missed the golden opportunity to convert a penalty kick in the 18th minute of the first half.
DEF Tuensang missed several opportunities during the match and finally in the dying minute they secured an equaliser through the boot of John (jersey no. 10) by successfully converting a penalty kick. Tia of Settle FC was awarded a yellow card.
In three matches played in Pool ‘C’, DEF Tuensang have won 1, lost 1 and drawn 1 and Settle FC lost 2 and drawn 1.
An exciting second match was played between Tenyimi XI FC and Khulioh King FC.
Nungsang (jersey no.8) scored both the goals for Khulioh King FC in the 3rd and 29th minute of the first half. The second half remained goalless and Khulioh King FC won the match 2-0. Three yellow cards were awarded in the match viz, Lungthingwi and Dunwibo of Tenyimi XI FC and Nampi of Khulioh King FC. In three matches played in Pool ‘D’, Khulioh King have won 2 and lost 1 while Tenyimi have lost 2 and 1 draw.

1st match – Ngangpong FC vs Genesis FC Tsg at 12 noon
2nd match – Scavenger Hunt FC vs Hongpong XI FC Haak at 1:30 pm
