Imnatiba, advisor of industries & commerce and NIDC, speaking at the concluding function of the Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang conference in Akhoya village on January 12.

Dimapur, Jan. 12 (EMN): The annual conference of Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (LKM) held in Akhoya village under Mokokchung district came to a close on January 12 with Imnatiba, advisor of industries & commerce and NIDC, as the guest of honour. The conference was held on the theme “Pokchi yonrak.”

Addressing the gathering, the guest of honour has emphasised evolving vision in sports to enable players choose the game they are proficient at and excel in the national and international arenas. He has suggested promoting sports sponsors schemes with a view to support and encourage talents and create pool of sportsperson.

Imnatiba has also suggested creating a new generation of globally conscious youth who are passionate about bringing lasting changes in the society. He has further suggested organising programmes for the youth by resource persons, who are successful in different areas, to transform the youth into be successful persons in future.

The programme was chaired by outgoing official of LKM, while Mrs Amenla, associate pastor of Akhoya Baptist Church, said the invocation. It was followed by a brief flashback of the whole event by media and publicity committee.

Imlimeren Jamir, director of rural development, exhorted the students on the topic “Know your potential.” He has emphasised on the importance of planning their careers to achieve success in this ever changing competitive world.

Ms Mapulila Imsong enthralled the gathering with a special number. Oshilu Jamir, secretary of local planning committee, and I Chubasenba Longkumer, convenor of planning committee, thanked all those who have contributed to make the conference a success.

Meanwhile, LKM has nominated new set of office bearers for the tenure 2019-2023 headed by Washimong (Wameken) as president, Tiakumzuk (Chuchuyimlang) as vice president, Temjentoshi (Changtongya) as general secretary, Shiluyanger (Anaki) as assistant general secretary, Kilangtoshi (Yaongyimsen) as games and sports secretary, Sentimeren (Unger) as assistant games and sports secretary, Changed (Yaongyimti) as cultural secretary, and Marnukshi (Mongsenyimti) as finance secretary.
