Two more ministers dropped; Swearing in today
Dimapur, Dec. 15 (EMN): With the recent patch up of the contending groups within the Nagaland People's Front party, the president of the party Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu on December 14 revoked the suspension and expulsions orders of legislators including one MP.
"Now, therefore, on the recommendation of the DAC and in exercise of the powers conferred on me vide Article V, clause 5 read with clause 10 of the NPF Constitution, I, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, President, NPF hereby revoked[sic] the expulsion orders and suspension orders... with immediate effect," the order from the party president stated.
A total of 20 legislators were expelled and 12 legislators along with MP Neiphiu Rio were suspended following the toppling of the government led Liezietsu himself in the month of July and August.
As for chief minister TR Zeliang, the latest move of reconciliation continues to be give in him sleepless night in order to accommodate those from the Liezietsu's group in his ministry.
Late update from the CMO on Friday night informed that two more ministers, Mhonlumo Kikon, minister for geology and mining and borders affairs along with EE Pangteang, minister for rural development were dropped from the cabinet.
Earlier during the day, speaking to the media after the assembly session, the chief minister stated that the relieving of ministers were being taken purely for 'the sake of stability'.
With the latest two the total vacant seats in the cabinet has risen to 6 who will be sworn in on Dec.16. Sources from the Raj Bhavan also confirmed that the swearing-in ceremony will be held on Satruday December 16 at 11 am.
