Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): The president of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu has claimed that the party may be considered ‘guardian of the Naga people.’ The media unit of the NPF issued a press release on Tuesday.
Speaking during the inaugural function for a new office for Noklak NPF, Dr. Liezietsu was stated to have said that the NPF came about during a time of heavy bloodshed in the Naga soil ‘so as to protect the Naga people, therefore, NPF can be considered as the guardian of the Naga people.’

The NPF president also administered oath of office to all newly inducted office bearers of the Noklak division office.
The NPF’s secretary general, KG Kenye, also addressed the gathering. He said that the NPF was ‘the only party, which have sole intention to work and look after the Naga people well being.’

Further, Kenye reiterated that the party’s top most priority was to resolve for the Naga political issue. The NPF has been working for a resolution, he said.
Exhorting the newly inducted office bearers of the Noklak division, the Member of Parliament expressed hope that the Noklak division should grow and become a strong pillar for the entire eastern Nagaland region.
