Let Us Walk Through the Old Path

It is undisputed fact that the Naga National Council (NNC) which was democratically constituted by the Naga people in 1946 is the only mandated Council of the Naga Nation and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) federally proclaimed by the Naga people in 1956 is the only established Government of Nagaland. And no other Council or Government has been formed by our people till date.

NNC/FGN is the only root and trunk of the Naga Nation. ‘it is undeniable truth that a tree without root/trunk can never bear fruit. Therefore, the Shepoumaramth Region consisting of Mao, Poumai, Maram and Thangal also sacrificially worked for the Naga Nation at these years with the rest of the Nagas and abided by the Plebiscite of 1951 under the banner of NNC/FGN. However, many Nagas have deviated from the NNC/FGN the mainstream and illegally formed several factions including the so-called Nagaland state without admitting the laws and historical truth. Yet the sovereign birthright of our Nation aiways remains alive by the grace of God. So, fellow Nagas must realize and walk through the old path.

The Bible says: Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein (Jeremiah 6: 16).

We have lost thousands of lives, immeasurable wealth, valuable times and suffered so long. It is needless to go into details. I therefore, humbly appeal to all fellow Nagas particularly to my fellow Shepoumaramth people to emotionally gather again in our original Home and walk through the old path. So that it alone will lead us to our destination, lest we eternally fall.
