LEGENDARY local singer Methaneilie Jütakhrie enchanted the people for more than two hours with his ‘Stage Comeback’ live concert at Kohima Local Ground (Khouchiezie) on Saturday.
The hunchback legendary singer mesmerized the capacity crowd with his popular Nagamese song ‘Nagaland City Koribole’, Angami song ‘zu zu’, Kishore Kumar’s Hindi song ‘Lakho Hain Yaha Dilwala’ and Mohammed Rafi’s ‘Jane Walo Jara’ and his own only English composition ‘Don’t worry… be afraid’ besides many other songs.
The singer not only entertained the audience with his songs but also with his live jokes and briefing the manner in which people have been taking his compositions.
The event was organized by Tsütuonuomia Youth Organization (TYO) of Kohima Village under the banner Methaneilie Jütakhrie – the Minstrel “Old Flames of Local Music”.
The organizers informed that Methaneilie had expressed his willingness to help the youth body generate fund towards their own sustainability and also to carry out some charitable works.
