Dimapur, Oct. 23 (EMN): A lady, Alino Lotha Agarwal, wife of Rajesh Agarwal residing in Monbosti, Karbianglong, Assam was stabbed to death by one Rupak Singh (47 yrs) on October 23 around 10:25 AM.
According to Dimapur Police, the accused committed the crime in broad daylight at New Market, opposite CHSS, Dimapur. Eye witnesses claim that the accused was seen running after her. The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained .
The accused is said to have waved around the knife to ward of the people who were trying to pin him down after the fatal incident according to onlookers. It has been confirmed that the victim was known to the accused. It may be added that the incident took place in front of many witnesses as N.L Road is one of the busiest streets in Dimapur. The accused is said to be in police custody and a case has been registered at women police station Dimapur for further investigation.
