L Khel beat D Khel in football final; T Khel remain top in medal tally

Kohima, Jan 18. (EMN): Lhisemia-Khel continued their dominance in football as they eased pass Dapfhütsumia-Khel 4-2 in men’s football final match to claimed the goal medal during the ongoing 63rd Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) meet on Thu.
In men’s volleyball , T Khel beat L Khel in the finals by 3-1 sets, T.Khel piped L.Khel by 25-14, 25-21, 20-25 and 25-23 to win gold medal. While D.Khel beat L.Khel by 3-0 sets(25-12, 25-13, 25-21) in women’s Volleyball to clinched the gold medal.
In basketball men’s D.Khel claimed the gold medal after defeating L.Khel by 54-46 in the final, while in women basetball, T.Khel edged out L.Khel by 23-14 to win gold medal. Till the filling of this report, Badminton, Chess and Table Tennis competitions were on at Indoor stadium, Kohima.
In the medal tally, Tsütuonuomia-Khel continued to top the medal tally on day-5 with 33 medal (19 Gold -10 Silver -4 Bronze), Dapfhütsumia-Khel in second position with a total tally of 17 medal (5 Gold -3 Silver -9 Bronze). Pfuchatsumia-Khel is placed in the third position with 18 medals (2 Gold-8 Silver -8 Bronze) and Lhisemia-Khel in fourth with 10 medals (2 Gold -7 Silver -1 Bronze)
The traditional wrestling will take place on Friday starting at 9.00am at local ground Kohima ,on the concluding day of the KVSA meet, hosted by Kohima Village Youth organization.
The wrestling competition will be compete by the wrestlers of D.Khel, L.Khel, P.Khel and T.Khel and later Cross Country race will start at12.00 noon on Friday.
The closing function will start at 4.50pm on Friday , with Er. Keviletuo Yiese, president Kohima Village Gazetted Officer Association as the guest of honour.
