KYO questions officers of tourism department KA for not attending office

Our Correspondent Diphu, Dec. 28 (EMN): Among 30 departments of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), two officers from the establishment of Deputy Director of Tourism have the maximum days of truancy, the Karbi Youth Organisation (KYO) has alleged. This was stated in a press note issued by the group’s general secretary Si-em Teron. The deputy director of Tourism and an accountant have failed remarkably in attending the office regularly, the release alleged. The organisation also pointed out that the duo never attended office taking excuses in the name of NRC duty and medical leave. ‘Also whenever they go to office, in the attendance register they marked themselves as present without attending office for so long leaving many to face problems in the past days whenever tourists from other places visits the place,’ the students alleged in the release. The organisation has questioned the KAAC’s authority about the absentees. ‘If the employees are not giving help then how can tourism be promoted in our region,’ the group wondered.
