KYO flays rash driving

Dimapur, April 11 (EMN): Kezieke Youth Organisation (KYO) has condemned the hit and run case in which a government vehicle (silver coloured Renault Duster), ran over a biker at Kezieke Colony, Kohima, on April 10 at around 8:20 PM and speeded away.
According to eye witness, the vehicle after causing the mishap switched off its headlights and sped away. Witnesses further informed that the vehicle widely attracted the attention of people because of over speeding and rough driving.
KYO asked the concerned driver/officer, in whose named the vehicle is granted, to come forward and claim responsibility or defend himself before the matter further escalates. The concerned person may surrender before the police or contact the KYO office bearers on phone number 8014999687 or 9856162076.
Stating that accidentshave become frequent in the colony due to lack ofnecessary provisions and infrastructure, KYO president Neibazotuo Sorhie and the general secretary Peleneizo Chadi requested the authority to construct raised footpath, railing and speed breakers and streamline traffic regulation in the area at the earliest to save precious lives.
