KYO and ULDC observes Human Rights days in Diphu

Diphu, Dec. 10 (EMN): The Karbi Youth Organisation (KYO) and United Lumbajong Development Committee (ULDC), on the occasion of the Human Rights Day jointly organised an awareness program on Human Rights at Theso Ajur L. P. School, 5 km Lumding Road on Sat. Dec. 10.
Judicial Court, Diphu Advocate Robinson Hanse the speaker of the program advocated that one should know and understand one’s own rights which have given every individual to exercise of its own. ‘We should not lose our rights even by other forces, so understanding of our rights is very necessary’, he underlined.
General Secretary, KYO, Se-im Teron also elaborated on human rights and stated ‘we have to know our social human rights too, like the government schemes on job card entitled to the people but we are not conscious about our rights’
Emphasising on the government scheme entitled for the citizens, he addressed that those who have not obtained the job card should approach the block office and make an enquiry about it. Teron also imparted awareness on arrest warrants wherein he informed the gathering that if the police enter in their homes without any warrant they have the rights to question the police for the very reason of their search.
