Dimapur, Jan. 14 (EMN): Social media is abuzz over the inaugural ceremony of the 63rd KVSA meet 2018 which took place on Saturday night at the Kohima local ground, hosted by Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO)
Most comments coming from Facebook and Whatsapp were appreciative of the way the ceremonial opening programme went on at the historic Khuochiezie for 150 minutes or so.
“Spectacular glittering opening ceremony, I, think KVSA meet would be the biggest sport even in the state, absolutely a grand opening. This should boost the morale of our upcoming young talents” stated H. Chishi, a senior journalist of the state.
Some says it was a well planned coordinate sports event programme, especially with good lighting setting taking place in evening.
“Must have been spectacular” says a senior government official, while Kits Awomi on Facebook’s group News Of The day (NOTD), which has over 60,000 followers, sums up “Spectacular show.. Greater height in KVSA and Naga sports…congrats to the organisers of KVSA meet for state of art inaugural function.
Sedeneikho Shosahie, a sports organiser for many years candidly admit, saying its world class and saluted the KVYO.
Being held for the first time, full marks to KVYO says a feed on WhatsApp.
“I am sure the closing ceremony will be inevitably spectacular as the grand opening ceremony” believes Max Marius Menuoseo Khieya, who closely watched the inaugural ceremony.
The week long meet will witness athletics, chess, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, wrestling, cross country race.
Around 400 sportspersons from four competing Khels – P. Khel, T. Khel, D. Khel and L.Khel will vie for the coveted titles.
The competition will commence on Monday starting at 9.30 am at the Kohima local ground, with athletics events with 12 gold medals up for grabs.
