Kohima, Jan 15 (EMN): MLA of 16 Pfutsero assembly constituency, Neiba Kronu, formally inaugurated the newly government recognised village Lewoza under Pfutsero sub-division in Phek district on January 15 in the presence of VCCs, VDB secretaries of neighbouring villages, government officers, public leaders and villagers.
Kronu exhorted the Lewoza villagers to work for the development of the village and maintain the virtue of truthfulness like their parent village Leshemi for which they are famous for all over Nagaland. He also expressed pride in representing the area/constituency.
The MLA stated that he was able to ensure the government recognition of two villages namely Lewoza and North Kikruma during his brief tenure as a member of the state cabinet. Highlighting on the various developmental activities taken up so far, he lamented that some could not be materialised due to political turmoil since last few years.
While apprising about the latest political scenario, he exhorted the public to be patient and not get confused by propaganda but make the right decision at the right time by choosing the right leader to ensure all round development of the area.
Kronu also expressed his gratitude to all the village officials, delegates from neighbouring villages, government officials, public leaders and other well wishers for attending the programme.
The programme started with invocation offered by Zhietshute Lasushe, pastor of Leshemi Baptist Church, while the blessing was offered by the oldest man of the village Ngulo Lomi. The villagers also presented a folk song on the occasion.
