Dimapur, Aug. 16 (EMN): Kohima Town Club (KTC), the organisers of the ongoing Kohima Football League, and the Kohima Press Club (KPC) will be playing a football exhibition match in memory of the two clubs’ colleague late Xavier Rutsa on August 18 at Kohima local ground (Khuochiezie) at 12 noon.
Rutsa, a senior journalist for the Times of India, passed away at the age of 42 on June 10 while serving as the president of KPC and the media officer of KTC. He was a founding member of both the clubs.

The two clubs remember late Rutsa as someone who had invaluably contributed to both journalism and sports. Taking into consideration the keen interest he had towards football, KPC and KTC have decided to come together to honour him through the game.

On August 18, a brief programme would precede the exhibition match where the two clubs will pay tributes to their deceased colleague. Abu Metha, advisor to the chief minister of Nagaland, will speak on the occasion as a special invitee.
