Kohima village sports meet: Football, volleyball and basketball finals today

Kohima, Jan. 17 (EMN): Lhisemia-Khel will take on Dapfhütsumia-Khel in football final match on Thursday at the ongoing 63rd Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) meet.
Lhisemia-Khel thumped Tsütuonuomia-Khel 6-3 in the first football match, while Dapfhütsumia-Khel beat Pfuchatsumia-Khel 1-0 in the second match on Wednesday. With the win, the football final match between L Khel and D Khel will be played at 7:30 am at Kohima local ground on Thursday morning.
While in men’s volleyball, T Khel beat D Khel by direct 3 sets in the second match and set up the final clash against L Khel on Thursday. In women’s volleyball, L Khel beat P Khel by 3-1 sets in the first match and D Khel defeated T Khel by 3-1 sets to win the second match. L Khel will face D Khel in the women volleyball final match.
In men’s basketball, L Khel beat P Khel by 48-43 points and D Khel beat T Khel by 64-56 points in the second match. D Khel will play against L Khel in the final match on Thursday.
In women basketball, T Khel beat D Khel by 23-22 points and L Khel beat P Khel by 29-18 points. In the final match, T Khel will take on L Khel on Thursday.
While the badminton and table tennis competitions at the Indoor stadium were on till the filling of this report.
The medal tally on Day 3 remained the same with T Khel leading the tally with 31 medals (17 gold, 10 silver and 4 bronze).
On the fourth day, starting from 7:30 am onwards, the final matches of football (men), basketball (men and women), volley-ball (men and women) will be played. While at the indoor stadium Kohima, badminton (open category), table tennis (open category) and chess (individual) finals will begin from 12 pm onwards.
