Kohima District Volleyball Championship to begin on Nov. 22

Kohima, Nov. 13 (EMN): The 6th edition of the Open Kohima District Volleyball Championship for both men and women organised by Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will take place from Nov. 22-26 at the Kohima local ground, Khuochiezie.

Informing this in a press release on Tuesday, the organising committee informed that the champions for men category will walk home with INR 35,000 and the runners- up will receive INR 25,000. The semi-finalists will receive INR 5000 each.

While for the women category, the champion will be awarded INR. 25,000 while the runners-up will receive INR 15,000. The two semi-finalists will receive INR 5000 each.

The individual prizes for best spiker and best setter for both men and women category will receive INR 2000 each.

The organising committee has informed that forms have been made available at Zumvü Printex at RS Building, main town Kohima, Northern Sports below CANSSEA office Kohima and Star Sports at BOC Kohima.

Interested clubs, teams, colonies/wards, army, CRPF, police, schools, colleges, villages and churches within Kohima district may avail the forms and join the tournament. Last date for submission of entry forms is fixed at Nov. 17.

It was also informed that the fixtures for the tournament will be drawn on Nov. 20 at the Kohima local ground at 3 pm. Team manager/coach/team representative of all teams have been requested to attend the same.
