It was communicated through a press release by the party through Seyiekhrielie Nagi the General Secretary of BJP Kohima District.
The press release alleged that the matter was related to the “false and baseless allegations” labeled against its President Dr Khriezovolie Kesiyie by some of the BJP Kohima district office bearers on Aug. 29, 2017 but no action was taken by the state President.

Subsequently the matter was forwarded to the BJP Nagaland State to resolve the issue “for the smooth functioning of the party as the issue has been creating confusions among the party workers”, it further stated.
Another meeting with office bearers of BJP Kohima District with the team of frontal organisations and five mandals except the members from 9th Kohima Town and BJP Northern Angami-II Constituency had a meeting on Oct. 14 where it resolved to step down.
