KMC’s hike in price of Beef & Pork and the wait for corresponding action

Cash strapped yet optimistic appears to be the general condition of theconsumer in Nagaland,on account ofdisabled ATMs and the anticipated 7thROP.
TheSwift action, the hike benefiting the butchers,of a sum of rs.20/- each,for sale of each and every kilo of beef or pork in Kohima is silently endured.
Now, the eagerly awaited corresponding action, the action for the greater good, for the consumers and the public at large remains-
1. Is the consumer provided each and every bit of meat for which payment is made? Will the KMC make it possible for the buyer to check receipt of right quantity by installing proper scales and measures to ensure prompt punitive action wheresoever cheating is detected and other habitual criminal acts of the butcher is exposed.
2. Will hygienic quality meat be made available for the price fixed?
This includes
a.) Stopping the concealment of stale and unhygienic meat in our packages.
b.) Forbidding the outrageous display and saleof stale inferior meat along with the regular meat.
c.) Differentiating the price of hair/fur, skins, bones, teeth, hooves, etc as against the consumable regular meat.
3. Sellers, Butcher Assistants may be compulsorily accorded training/orientation to fit into and play their role in the market.
We anticipate early improvementand believe KMC will rise to the occasion.
