Kiphire holds DPDB meeting

Dimapur, Jan. 20 (EMN): The monthly meeting of Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held on January 17 in the deputy commissioner’s conference hall, Kiphire, under the chairmanship of DC Kiphire, Mohammad Ali Shihab.

Besides reviewing the previous meeting minutes, the house discussed on opening of a new primary school in Thenentsuvong village and restoration of old by-pass road to Kohima. In this regard, the board asked the concerned department to submit viability report of old by-pass road to Kohima in the next DPDB meeting.

A DIPR report stated that the vice chairman had informed all head of offices under Kiphire to be present on January 18 meeting to discuss aspirational work programme where nodal officer from the ministry of DONER, SL Meena, joint secretary, Government of India, would be present in the meeting.

He also informed the department of medical, education, agriculture, banking SBI Branch Manager, PWD (R&B), power, and PHED to prepare for their presentation in the meeting.

The new member Jophet Rengma, ADC Seyochung, introduced himself to the board in the meeting.
