Dimapur, Jan 16: Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has constituted verification committee for Local Area Development Programme (LADP) 2016-17 for the two constituencies.
For 59 Sitimi-Seyochung Assembly Constituency, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Seyochung has been nominated as convenor along with the Executive Engineer R&B and the Block Development Officer of Sitimi as members. For 60 Kiphire-Pungro Assembly Constituency Additional Deputy Commissioner of Pungro has been nominated as convenor along with the Executive Engineer PHED and Block Development Officer of Pungro as members.The committee was constituted during its monthly meeting held on January 13 in the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDP, Kiphire, Sedevikho Khro.
With regards to constitution of Sub-Divisional Planning Board at Pungro, the Board is to clarif to the government that Kiusam area of the district falls under 57 Thonoknyu Assembly Constituency in Tuensang district, while the administrative matter falls under Kiphire district. The Board has decided to let government take its own decision on the matter.
The Board further discussed for the forthcoming Republic Day celebration and distributed works to the concerned departments.
