KFL: Kohima Eagles FC and Vanguard FC register win

Kohima, June 12 (EMN): Kohima Eagles FC and Vanguard FC registered win, setting the league table with three and six points respectively, on the fourth day of the ongoing Seyie Auto Kohima Football League (KFL), at the IG Stadium, in Kohima on Wednesday, June 12.

With two of their goals coming in the first half, Kohima Eagles FC knocked United 16 FC down 3-0 in the first match of the day. The goals came from the boots of Menoneikho Nakhro and Johnny Ritse in the 16th and 41st minute. Kakheyi Assumi scored a long range kick in the 89th minute to finish the game with a 3-0 win.

Amid heavy rain in the second half of second match, the game continued consistently between Vanguard FC and A Yhome FC, where the former emerged as winner by 3-2.

Yhunshalo Kemp of Vanguard FC netted the first goal in the 19th minute. However, in a few minutes time, Punürü of A Yhome FC scored in the 23rd minute to make it 1-1 in the first half of the match.

Vanguard FC made it 2-1 after Matthew Kezhose scored a goal in the 56th minute only to be equalised with an own goal in the 77th minute. It was Sinenlo Kath’s goal in the 83rd minute that registered Vanguard FC win for the day.

Quite a lot of targeted goals by Vanguard FC were blocked away by A Yhome’s goalkeepers Sedekhotuo and Lhiwete.
