Diphu, Dec. 6 (EMN): In order to improvise agriculture productivity one has to adopt the new pattern system of cultivation with modern technique, applying the scientific way of work agriculture, stated by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Executive Member, in charge Veterinary Department, Tarendra Brahma who attended as the chief guest during the 7th foundation day of Karbi Farmers’ Association (KFA) held at Dengoan Sport Association on Dec. 6.
Addressing the gathering, Nilkomal Kalita, District Veterinary officer, stated that one has to identify the space of culture for agriculture which are suitable for that particular area. He also said that the department is ready to give assistance to the people by giving awareness programmes and trainings. He also encourage the people in the meeting for cattle rearing, poultry farm and that one has to be self reliant in this culture after adopting the scientific pattern of rearing. During the program KFA submitted a memorandum to the Chief Executive Member of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang.
The memo stated about the vision and demands including, policies for making profitable, credit and subsidy, corporate social responsibility, minimum wages, direct cash transfer, modifying wildlife and forest Act, long term and stock of export policies, making paddy, wheat and meats profitable policies, economic security for farmers, compensation and Assistance, pension, encouraging organic farming and declare organic district.
