Keweku and Vemugulü win Sükrünye half marathon race

Phek, Jan. 17 (EMN): Keweku Elah and Vemugulü emerged as winners of the half marathon race in the men’s and women’ category, which was organised as part of the Sükrünye mini Hornbill festival held in Phek town on January 17.

In the men’s category, Shekuzo and Neiwe bagged second and third place respectively, while Vemalü Hoshi and Mucielü secured the second and third place respectively.

The winners bagged cash award of INR 5000, while second and third winners won INR 3000 and 2000 respectively.

Earlier, the half marathon was flagged off by the guest of honour, Kuzholuzo Nienu, and the deputy commissioner, Phek, Orenthung Lotha.

The race was organised by the district election office, Phek, under Systematic Voters’ Education & Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
