KA press club condemns attack on Shillong Times editor

Diphu, April 21 (EMN): The District Press Club of Karbi Anglong (DPCKA) has strongly condemned the attack on Shillong Times editor, Patricia Mukhim on the evening of April 17 by two unidentified persons who had hurled a kerosene bomb at her residence. This was stated in a press release issued by the general secretary of DPCKA Denialson Bey on April 21 Saturday.

The statement mentioned that the attack on Journalists in the country is happening every day which is an act of uncivilised culture. The journalists who plays a vital role in the society remains insecure and unsafe, the release stated.

The DPCKA in the release has urged upon the authority to look over the matter with positive measures.

The  journalist fraternity of Karbi Anglong in the release has raised voices demanding the culprit to be arrested and put behind the bars so that in the coming days no untoward accident should happen towards the working Journalist fraternity.
