Dimapur, August 12 (EMN): “Jobs are everywhere, opportunities are scarce” and “jobs are given to those who have skill and not with degrees,” said the Prof and HoD of Depatment of Geology, Nagaland University, Dr. G.T. Thong.
Stressing on the skill development, he encouraged the students to work hard and be self reliant.
He was addressing the students as guest speaker at the ‘Scholar Fest 2017’, organised by Chogin Range Students’ Union (CRSU) on 12 at DUDA Guest House, Kohima.
The programme was chaired by Kisheto Kent, while welcome address was delivered by president of CRSU, Shasinlo Khing.
During the programme, the Chogin Range Students’ Union also felicitated its HSLC and HSSLC successful candidates.
The first session was followed by discussion on career guidance and skill development.
