Job mela gets underway in Dimapur

Dimapur, Nov 17 (EMN): Expounding that Nagas are known for their accommodative attitude, Parliamentary secretary of Labour and Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, exuded confidence that Nagas would fare well in the field of hospitality, beauty, and wellness.

Dr. Keditsu said this while addressing at the two-day Nagaland Career Workshop and Job Mela organized by the Department of Employment & Entrepreneurship which got underway at Agri Expo, Dimapur, on November 17.

While pointing out that the world today has become very competitive, he called upon the educated unemployed youth to utilise their talents and explore in the private sector which has huge potentials and scope.

Stating that Nagas are well known for their hospitality, Keditsu expressed confidence that the youth would excel in any given opportunity only if they have little confidence. Apprising on the initiative of the government, he encouraged the young people who will be going out to work in private sectors to go and experience the outside world, besides training themselves in the best possible way.

Consultant of Nagaland Skill Development and Ent. Society, Aditya, presented the highlight of the workshop. Interested and eligible entrepreneurs, who failed to attend day one of the workshop, are informed to register themselves on the spot for the job interview in the preceding days. The interview would begin at 9 am and continue till 2 pm.

The book titled “Aspiration and capacity mapping study (first of its kind survey in the country)” would also be released by the chief minister, TR Zeliang, on November 18. The chief minister is also scheduled to launch the department’s website.
