Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Japu village under Mangkolemba sub-division in Mokokchung district has undertaken the work to repair the approach road leading to the village with its own funds.
The two-km road has never been black-topped and the poor quality of the road has been posing inconveniences to the villagers for several years. The metalling work is expected to be completed by the end of December and the villagers are eagerly looking forward to the “New Year present.”
Earlier in 2013, the segment of the road inside the village of approximately two km length was also metalled by the villagers with its own resources. This was stated in a press release issued by Noklemba Longshir, president of Japu Senso Mungdang.
