Dimapur, October 27 : Odisha Governor Dr SC Jamir and Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio on Thursday have expressed grief over the death of Hukato Naga who passed away in London on October 25.
“Having gained immaculate insight and knowledge on business activities and connection all over the country and abroad he was seen as a blessing for the development of the State of Nagaland,” Jamir said in a condolence message.
The Governor noted that late Hukato’s journey from a carefree life in younger days to a deeply religious, sincere and a thoroughly reformed person later has in fact great bearing on him as he blossomed into a man full of new and innovative ideas. “It was unfortunate that he left for his heavenly abode when he was set to deliver in a big way for the State. His demise was a great loss to Nagaland,” Jamir said. He also prayed that his soul rest in peace.
In his condolence message, Rio described late Hukato as a prominent entrepreneur, caring social worker and philanthropist.
“His life story is an example of how hard work and commitment bring success in life. He was always proud of the fact that he belonged to a humble background and he always used the story of his own journey to motivate the youth and the younger generations,” the MP said.
Rio also said late Hukato exemplified dignity of labour, discipline and perseverance. An outspoken person, he always encouraged the youngsters to aspire for their dreams through hard work, the MP stated.
‘He was also a personal friend with whom I had close interactions over the years. His demise is a personal loss to me and my family and we will miss him. We will particularly miss his exuberant energy, lively presence and positive approach to everything in life,” Rio added.
He conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
