IPR officer passes away

Dominic YazokieKohima, August 24 (EMN): Additional Director of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Dominic Yazokie passed away Thursday afternoon in Kohima following a brief illness. He was 59 and is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.
Yazokie had earlier served as a lecturer in Kohima Arts College, tourist officer in the department of Tourism, as PRO New Delhi from 1985 till 2000, then came back to Nagaland as deputy director IPR and got promoted to the post of additional director IPR in 2016. Besides his professional career, he was also said to have been associated to benevolent and religious organizations.
According to family members, a brief send-off programme will be held at late Yazokie’s official residence on Friday at 8 am, after which, the mortal remains will be taken to Vidima in Dimapur for final rites.
