Dimapur, Feb. 10: Deputy Commissioner Dimapur and chairman, Dimapur District Sports Council (DDSC), Kesonyu Yhome, IAS inaugurated the newly renovated indoor badminton stadium at Nagarjan (Kuda) on Friday February 10.
The stadium has been equipped with rubber mats and gym equipments for the players to train themselves and remain fit.Speaking on the occasion, the DC thanked all the individuals who had sacrificed their time and energy for the completion of a perfect badminton stadium. Having such modern facilities in the badminton stadium will give motivation to young and talented badminton players of the state and this will also attract young talents, he added.
President, Dimapur District Badminton Association (DDBA), Dr Wati expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner for donating a sum of Rs 7 lakhs for the rubber mats and gym equipments.
He also thanked the members and well-wishers for their generous contribution and support to the Association.
