Indefinite bandh partially lifted in Tuensang

Dimapur, Feb 16: The ongoing total indefinite bandh in Tuensang town called by Chang Tribal Council (CKS) and Tuensang Village Citizens’ Union (TVCU) in solidarity with the State wide bandh under the aegis of JCC and NTAC has been partially lifted in Tuensang. However, indefinite bandh on government vehicles and offices will be enforced with effect from February 17.

All educational institutions, schools and colleges both private and government, administration, police, para military force, government vehicles on exam duty, Fire & Emergency Service, Medical/ Sanitary vehicle/ press media will be exempted from the purview of the bandh. It said all business activities and movement of private vehicles will remain normal as usual.

The decision was taken following the decision of JCC and NTAC to maintain uniformity in the manner of protest with the rest of the State. Vice president of Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) T Mongro and the president of Tuensang Village Citizens’ Union (TVCU) H Wong informed the people of Tuensang that the bandh will continue till further notice.
