Immanuel School, Zunheboto conducted its “Annual Games and Sports Meet” from September 28 to 30. The students were grouped into Senior, Junior, Sub Junior and Primary groups. Each group is again divided into Green, Yellow, Blue and Pink Houses. Several events including Football and track and field were played.
Imnasenba Ao and Ranjeet Gurung were the event in-charges. The meet was held at Zunheboto District Sports Council Ground.
The inaugural function was held in the school premises where Vihuto Asumi, the School Principal spoke on the importance of Games and Sports as a part of education and for health and recreation. He also encouraged the students to be open to learning through activity. He stressed on the need for a balanced development of physical, mental and spiritual being. Special music was presented by music students and Toluvi Asumi Pastor (Retd.) invoked for God’s protection and blessings for the event.
The prize distribution ceremony was again held on October 1 in the School premises where Yellow House emerged as the Champion and Blue House bagged the coveted Discipline prize. The School administration thanks all the people involved in making this event a successful one.
