Zunheboto, February 12
The Excise department of Zunheboto on February 11 destroyed Indian Made Foreign Liquor and assorted liquor during a destruction of confiscated contraband. The cache consisted of 3, 880 bottles of whisky, rum, and can beer. The contraband was destroyed at the ZTC dumping site.
The articles were worth 14.16 lakh and were destroyed in the presence of officials of the district administration, police personnel, and leaders of the Sumi Totimi Hoho and the Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto. Earlier Sr. Pastor Rev. Yevuto Zhimo pronounced a prayer before destroying the seized items. The officials of the Superintendent of Excise have expressed gratitude to all the officials “for peaceful destruction.”
