IMA to hold laparoscopic surgeries workshop

Dimapur, April 18 (EMN): Nagaland chapter of the Indian Medical Council (IMA) has announced to hold a live laparoscopic surgical and gynaecology workshop cum CME at Hezukhu Memorial Hospital and Rochill Hospital, Zunheboto, from April 25-27.
The workshop would consist of two-day completely free laparoscopic surgeries including Cholecystectomy (gall bladder stone removal), Appendectomy (appendix), Hysterectomy (uterus), Myomectomy (tumour of the uterus), Ovariotomy, and cystectomy (cyst removal).

IMA state president, Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu, stated that all operations would be performed by IMA doctors from across Nagaland including him- a gynaecologist of Putuonuo Nursing Home; Dr. Victo Wotsa, gynaecologist of NIKOS Hospital and Research Centre; Dr. Tseilhoutuo Angami, surgeon of KOHIMAS; along with anaesthesiologists Dr. Keneilhoulie Medom, Dr. Imsulemba Jamir, and Dr. V Tovika Yepthomi.

The programme would be preceded by a CME session. All IMA members are requested to attend the workshop.
