IIT Kharagpur: 58th Spring Fest from January 20

Spring Fest, an annual social and cultural fest of IIT Kharagpur is all set to take place from January 20, 2017 till January 22. This was announced in a press note issued by an associate member of Spring Fest, IIT Kharagpur.
With a footfall of more than 25000, Spring Fest is one of the largest of its kind in Asia to be organized entirely by students, stated the press note.
Enthusiastic participants from all the major colleges of India throng to Kharagpur to this 3-day celebration of fun and frolic. Next year’s Spring Fest is said to be the 58th edition.
This year Spring Fest is conducting Hitch Hike, the NationwidePrelims for four of its flagship events- Nukkad, SF Idol, Shake a Leg and Shuffle, in October in 7 cities all over India.
The press note states that the fest conducts a multitude of events encompassing 9 genres and more than 90 events which are contested among the best in India that aims to provide a battlefield for the best of the best and also to have the participants experience the time of their lives.
Star-nights are the main attraction of Spring Fest. Artists like Farhan Akhtar, Amit Trivedi, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy, Salim-Sulaiman, KK, The Raghu Dixit Project, Agnee, Indian Ocean, Swarathma, Parikrama, Euphoria, Pentagram, and many more monumental performances have taken part at Spring Fest in the past years. International bands like Dead by April, Monuments, Tesseract have also rocked the audience at Spring Fest.
