Ibobi inspects tourism project sites

Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi made a spot assessment of the site on Saturday in a move to develop Govindajee Janmasthan of Kaina as a tourist circuit so as to attract more tourists and pilgrims.He also visited Kheba Hills of Khongjom where the State Government is planning to develop a mega tourism project.
The team led by the Chief Minister included Internationally acclaimed theatre personality Padmasree Ratan Thiyam, noted film maker Padmasree Aribam Syam, traditional arts and culture researcher Mutuwa Bahadur and top officials of the state works department along with the concerned MLAs Th Shyamkumar(Andro) and Paonam Brojen(Wamgjing Tentha).
Tourists/pilgrims coming from outside the State are not satisfied by visiting Govindajee Temple at Palace Compound alone. They also love to see Kaina. That is why, the government is planning to develop Kaina as an attractive tourist site.It may be mentioned that Ministry of Tourism has sanctioned necessary fund for the Kaina project.
