IAS officers interact with Dimapur administration

Dimapur, Jan. 13 (EMN): As part of ‘Bharat Dharshan,’ a winter study tour, 18 IAS 2017 batch officers reached Dimapur on Jan. 11.
The officers held an interactive session on Sat. with deputy commissioner of Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel; Commissioner of Dimapur police Limasunep; and other district officers in the conference hall of the DC’s office. The Dimapur IPR issued updates about the event on Sat.
During the interactive session, commissioner police while highlighting on the present situation of Dimapur district informed them that the level of violence in the district has come down and is peaceful.
“Nagas are aspiring for an era of peace,” he maintained.
Assistant Director Food and Civil supplies department Jamonger also apprised the officers about the implementation of various schemes where foodgrains are given to the targeted beneficiaries as per the provision of the National Food Security Act.
CMO Dimapur Dr.Vikato and officials from Social Welfare and DRDA, Dimapur also participated.
DC Dimapur is stated to have encouraged them to work with dedication reminding them that society looks upon young and upright officers.
As part of the last leg of their study tour the IAS officers will leave for Kohima where they will be visiting Kisama, World War II cemetery etc tomorrow, DPRO informed.
