KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 9
22,969 students will be sitting for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2016 in 72 centres across Nagaland from Wednesday. The examination, conducted under the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), will culminate on February 23. Of the 22,969 students, 11,898 are female candidates and 11,071 are male.
Meanwhile, the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination for three different streams- Arts, Commerce and Science has already commenced from February 9 with a total of 14,508 students appearing for the examination which will continue till February 27.
The HSSLC examination is being conducted in 50 centers throughout the state.
Of the total number of HSSLC students, 10,486 are reported to be sitting for Arts stream while the Commerce section has 1,397 students Science stream 2,725 students.
These two examinations and the result produce from them are considered to be crucial determinants for young students on the direction of taking their studies towards their future careers.
