Private healthcare establishments in the state of Nagaland to apply to the Nagaland Health Care Establishment Authority seeking fresh license or renewal of license.
Principal Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Sukhato A Sema, in a press release, informed that as per the provision of the Nagaland Health Care Establishment Act 1997, all private healthcare establishments in the state are directed to apply to Nagaland Health Care Establishment Authority for granting of fresh of license or renewal of license in the prescribe proforma as per the requirement of the Act.
The healthcare establishments include general hospital, maternity hospital, nursing home or a clinic, any institution or centre dealing with physically or mentally sick patients, who are admitted either as in-patients or out-patients.
The department informed that any person, who establish or maintain a healthcare establishment without registration or license under the Act would be punishable as per the provisions of the Act.
