The Raj Bhavan edition of the Handshake Concert was held on Dec. 2 evening at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
Renowned artistes from across the state and neighbouring north-eastern states including Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim shared the stage on Saturday evening at the historic Durbar Hall.
Couple Governor PB Acharya and Kavita Acharya; IGAR (North) and officials from the Assam Rifles, government officials from both the centre and the state, both foreign and local tourists were among audiences.
The music evening, which prolonged for an hour, commenced with the performance of former Naga Idol Renbeni Odyuo, followed by the male voice group Colored Keys and a dance item by Ethnic Future.
Imli Imchen, who is a singer, composer and a guitarist, presented a guitar piece, while a cultural troupe from Sikkim (Kanchenjunga) presented a dance item.
Angam & friends enthralled the gathering with a beautiful Konyak song, followed by the performance of a female cultural troupe from Arunachal Pradesh.
The music evening, organised by the Rattle & Hum Music Society, concluded with the performance of the choral group Harmonic Voices.
It may be mentioned that this was the 4th edition of Raj Bhavan Handshake Concert hosted by the Governor.
Apart from Raj Bhavan edition, it may be mentioned that the Rattle & Hum Music Society had travelled the globe organising the Handshake Concert, some of which includes Kunming City in China, Hanoi in Vietnam, Yangon in Myanmar, Bangkok in Thailand and Jakarta in Indonesia.
