Goal fest: Amur Falcon beat Morning FC 7-2

Kohima, June 30 (EMN): Amur Falcon FC thrashed Morning FC by a margin of 7-2 goals at D Khel ground Kohima on Friday morning at the ongoing Morning Premier League (MPL). Mele’s hat-trick and Chip’s brace for Amur Falcon made sure that they take three points from the game.
During the match, Mele completed his hat-trick in 22nd, 50th and 51st minute. Chips scored two goals in 31st and 55th minute, while Seyie and Akum contributed a goal each for Amur Falcon Morning FC scored two late goals through Dikwa in 59th minute and Akavi in 66th minute but felt short of five goals at the end of the match.
With the win, Amur Falcon moved above All Blacks to 3rd place with 34 points from 17 games and Morning FC remained 8th place with 18 points from 17 games of the Morning Premier League.
With the last week remaining in the Morning Premier League, Power Comm is on top of the Morning Premier League table. They will face 3rd placed Amur Falcon and a win will be enough to clinch the title but a draw or loss will crown Medical XI as the champions if Medical XI beat MRH Sunrisers on Monday.
The two bottom teams Silver White and Mustang FC are relegated from playing at the Morning Champions Cup that will begin in the month of September.
